Second generation Chicago born artist, Joshua Elias’ work is widely collected. Recent inclusions are at the Rand Corporation, Charles Weingarten Annenberg Foundation, as well as numerous private collections throughout the U.S. and in Europe.

Recent works exhibited at the Liz Gordon Gallery in Los Angeles

 

New paintings featured at the Kohler Home of the Future at the TED CONFERENCE in Long Beach California, as well as a special ECO exhibit at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009 in Park City Utah

 

Two seminal double-sided paintings were commissioned by designer Kelly Wearstler and remain at the famous VICEROY HOTEL in Santa Monica California

 

Elias creates works that articulate a “new language” using color form and abstraction, as a specific method of telling story. Considered to be a distant cousin to the abstract expressionists the artist terms his own work “spiritual landscape abstractions”
